The forest was barely lit by a dim light at the tip of his staff. "Speak wisely now, what it is you wish to ask?" He held his fist towards her and opened it. A glowing blue mist escape that whipped up into her mouth and cooled her throat.
She coughed and stopped to looked around as if with her voice, she had also regained power over her roaming thoughts. Chaka slowed his march, but even with his steady strides she still hurried to catch up.
"Where is it you're taking me? I must find my friend. She was here with me. We got separated once those... things started chasing us."

Chaka descended suddenly, until Eda noticed he had walked down into a ditch hidden by the darkness. She jumped down into it and followed Chaka around a curved and rocky path. They were walking a perimeter towards the base of some mountain. Until now the journey had been crunchy and quick as they stepped over twigs and dry leaves. This path was all rock with a thick moss grown over. She would not have even noticed this hide away if she was wasn't being led....
