Eda's thick, purple hair whipped around her face as the monstrous groans kept growing louder. Her feet could not seem to keep up with her mind as she dodged through the trees in the thick Obidust forest. She had always heard stories about Obidust and knew she never wanted to discover if they were true or not; that didn't matter now.
Her hands met the chilly, damp ground. She turned around to see a large tree root that caught her foot. She knew she was a great runner from all of those races with track and field club from school, so how could she have tripped? She grunted as she tried to get up but a creaking sound swept over her as the roots started moving up her leg.
"%*@$!" She quickly yanked them off and jumped from the ground. The roots slowly crawled away with disappointment. The roaring groans still filled the air and no matter how fast she tried to run, it still followed. When she stood up and brushed off her pants she looked around to find....
